New local Sport Newspaper

A new local Sport Newspaper called CENTO SPORT has been launched here in Kempton Park. The paper only features sports and the man behind the paper Jaco Avenant has given us a slot for Avion Raceway. The paper is distributed locally and the first edition has already hit the streets. Read about your club in the paper. Go out and find it and support it. The article in the next addition for August covers the end June club race. Maybe you even got a mention in it. The paper can be found at various busineses and is distributed to homes at no charge. Jaco will really appreciate our support, so go and get it now.

Points given according to your finishing position and the ten drivers with the highest points after the two days go through to the final race for glory. Congratulations to Andy Podronek who was the winner of the Race for Glory final. Thanks to Custom Hobbies for the prizes which not only went to winners but also losers. Well done to Martinette who also got into the top 10 and received a prize for the best lady driver and lets not forget the prize for the dirtiest car which went to our own Trevor Tomkinson.
We have updated the format of the results this year to include points for your qualifying position as well. The points for qualifying will be calculated the same as for the race results - top 15 overall positions in Buggies and top 10 positions in Truggies receiving points. For Buggies, 1st in A will give you a bonus of 3 additional points, 1st in B will give you 2 bonus points and 1st in C will give you 1 bonus point. The same applies to Truggies, except 1st in A will give you 2 bonus points and 1st in B will give you 1 bonus point.Happy Racing guys!!! I will see you at the track shortly!

AVION RACEWAY

Table Mountain has moved to Avion Raceway. Hope you guys have prepped your cars for next weekend because the long awaited table top has been completed. We still have a few rain damaged areas to repair which I will do next Saturday and then the track will be completely ready for Sundays big race. You dare not miss it because if the heavy rains hold off a bit this week the track should be great. Come racing and try out the new track mods. I would also like to say a very big thank you to Antony, Brian, Chris and Anthony for all their help and hard work they put in this weekend. Without their help the track would never have been ready for next weekends race. THANKS GUYS it is greatly appreciated. I would also like thank my darling wife for the support and understanding why I was not home the entire weekend.
